Best Valorant Settings For Max FPS.

On PC, you can tune several in-game graphics settings to find the sweet spot between visual quality and high FPS. Let’s go through each option and select the best Valorant settings one by one to achieve the best performance. 

Best Valorant Graphics Settings

To access the graphics settings in Valorant, you need to click on the “Video” tab on the top right. You’ll see 3 types of graphics settings in this menu, lets start with the “General Settings” for Valorant.


Resolution: Set to Native i.e. 1920×1080, 2560×1440 

Resolution is the most important setting in the whole game. It’s best to play Valorant at the native resolution of your screen. However, if you’re experiencing low frames, try lowering the resolution a bit.

Sure, you’ll gain a drastic improvement in performance, but it’ll be at the cost of visual clarity. So, it’s best to try other methods to get better performance and save this one as a contingency.

Display Mode: Fullscreen

Display mode should be set to “Full Screen” at all times to get the best FPS in Valorant. Fullscreen helps your PC prioritize the game’s performance over background processes. 

Monitor: Primary

Select your primary monitor here. 

Aspect Ratio Method: 4:3 or Letterbox

Letterbox is lauded as the best aspect ratio to play, especially by the Valorant pros. The 4:3 aspect ratio stretches your display making textures weirdly elongate horizontally. But, this means the textures of opponents will be wider as well, hence they’ll be easier to shoot. 

Limit FPS on Battery: OFF

It’s nice to see games giving some love to the laptop gamers out there. But, this option isn’t helping much so best turn it off to avoid any FPS dips.

Max FPS on Battery: Above 60 FPS

It’s another setting dedicated to laptop gamers but doesn’t have much use either. Since laptops automatically reduce performance on battery power, your FPS will automatically reduce. But, you can still set it to 60 or above just to be sure your in-game setting isn’t capping FPS.  

Limited FPS in Menus: Personal Preference

Do you Alt+Tab often in and out of Valorant? Maybe you’re a streamer or record gameplay and need to minimize the game for a quick chat with your audience. To make minimizing Valorant easy, turn this setting On otherwise Off. 

Max FPS in Menu: 30 FPS

If you don’t want your GPU to push unnecessary frames while idling in the main menu, turn this setting to 30 FPS.

Max FPS in Background: 30 FPS

Set this also to 30 FPS to prevent your PC from pushing unnecessary frames when not required. Plus it also helps minimize the game quickly.

Limited FPS Always: Off

Turn this setting Off to uncap FPS in-game.

Max FPS Always: 60 FPS

This helps make the animations in the main menu smoother. 

Nvidia Relex Low Latency: Turn it On

If you’re playing Valorant on an Nvidia GPU, this is the best to have. It helps reduce input lag significantly allowing actions in-game to be responsive and accurate. Unfortunately, AMD users can’t this feature as it’s exclusive to Nvidia.

After General Tab, now it’s time to find the best graphics quality settings in Valorant. These settings offer high FPS and max performance in the game. However, we’ll also let you choose to keep some visual quality where possible.


Multi-Threaded Rendering: On

If you’re playing Valorant on a high-end PC, then turn Multi-Threaded Rendering to On. This setting will significantly improve your CPU performance and graphics quality.

Material Quality: Low to Medium

This setting has a major impact on Valorant’s performance. If you have a budget PC, then turning it to low will help you get the most FPS. However, if you have some GPU power to spare, at least use the medium settings. 

Texture Quality: Medium to High

Textures in the game don’t affect performance that much. So turning the texture quality to medium is a great option for low-end PC. If you’re rocking a high-end PC then crank it to High. 

Detail Quality: Low

If you want fewer distractions and clutter on your screen, turn the detail quality setting to Low. This helps boost FPS in Valorant and also helps reduce unnecessary textures on your screen like vines on walls and foliage etc. 

UI Quality: Medium

Set the UI Quality to Medium as it doesn’t have much effect on performance. This will affect the UI elements in Valorant like player portrait and setting menu etc. 

Vignette: Off

Vignette is an aesthetic setting that does not have an effect on performance. However, it darkens the corners of your screen to add a cinematic feel to your matches. Yea, it doesn’t work, we’ve tried it. If you take your matches seriously then it’s just going to get in the way, leave it at Off. 

VSync: Off

Do yourself a favor, don’t use V-sync in any game. Period! In many games, V-sync is known to add micro-stutters, input lags, and even cap FPS according to your monitor’s refresh rate. Turn it off to uncap your FPS. You might face screen tearing every now and then, but it’ll be worth it when you’re doming other players at 300+ FPS.

Anti-Aliasing: MSAA X2

To get the most FPS, people prefer turning Anti-Aliasing Off, but that’s not true. You could set it to MSAA X2 to get amazingly clear visual quality while still maintaining decent FPS. Plus it’s not even that taxing so it’s all good. 

Anisotropic Filtering: 2x – 4x

Using 2x or 4x isn’t really that taxing on your PC and really improves the texture sharpness of objects at oblique angles in Valorant. If you’re on a beefy PC, you could go with 16x. 

Improve Clarity: Personal Preference

To some, this setting has improved visual quality a lot for no performance sacrifice. However, for some, it has dipped frames for no viable quality improvement. I’d recommend trying On and Off and seeing what works for you. 

Bloom: Off

Turn Bloom Off if you want zero distractions in the game. It’s only a visual effect with no hit on performance. 

Distortion: Off

Another meaningless visual effect that adds a “distortion” effect on your screen. Best to disable it. 

Cast Shadows: Off

This setting shows or hides your player’s shadow and does not affect the other team. Turning it off is the best action here. 

Applying changes to the General and Graphics Quality Tab will significantly improve your framerates. You can also expect better responsiveness, visuals, and overall performance with these best Valorant graphics settings.

Once you are done with these two tabs, make sure you also apply some changes in the Stats section.

Valorant Best Stats Settings

This section won’t really affect your game’s performance. These are more quality of life changes that affect your HUD in-game. 


The settings in the Stat section are pretty self-explanatory. Simply tune them according to the following recommendations and you’ll be set. 

  1. Client FPS: Text Only
  2. Server Tick Rate: Hide
  3. Total Frame Time: Hide
  4. CPU Frame Time: Hide
  5. GPU Frame Time: Hide
  6. Network Round Trip Time: Text Only
  7. Packet Loss: Hide

Nvidia Settings for Valorant


Adjusting the in-game settings is important, but using the best Nvidia Control Panel settings for Valorant is also essential.

But before we tweak Nvidia GPU settings, first we need to update the GPU drivers. Nvidia has very recently released new Drivers that have significantly enhanced Valorant Performance. Here is how you can update them.

  1. First, Open Nvidia GeForce Experience.
  2. Click on Search For Updates.
  3. If your drivers aren’t updated, New One’s Will be automatically downloaded. If not, it’ll tell you; you have the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver.
  4. On the other hand, if you are encountering issues with GeForce Experience. Just jump over this Nvidia page, and download the latest drivers.

Now, we’ll tweak Valorant’s settings in Nvidia Control Panel for high FOS and better visual clarity. Here is how you can do this:

Right-Click on the desktop and open Nvidia Control Panel.

Under Adjust Image Settings, change “Image Settings from 3D Application” to Use the “Advanced 3D Image Settings.” Also, make sure to hit apply afterward.

Now go to “Manage Settings, and Add Valorant under Program to Customize.

From here, go to “Manage 3D Settings, and add Valorant under “Program Settings” to Customize it. Now, to get the best performance, use the following best Valorant settings for Nvidia Control Panel.

Image Sharpening: On

Image Sharpening is a great feature natively available to Nvidia GPU users. It helps sharpen the textures to help you spot enemies more easily in Valorant. It’s recommended to stay anywhere between 0.3 to 0.7 range as too little or too much makes your image quality weird. 

Anisotropic Filtering: Off

Anisotropic Filtering is already an option we’ve configured in the Valorant graphics settings. Here, it’s best kept at Off. 

FXAA -Antialiasing – FXAA: Off

This is another mode for Anti-Aliasing that helps remove jagged edges on textures at a lower cost. However, this should be kept off since we’ve already configured graphics in Valorant settings. 

Gamma Correction -Antialiasing: Off

This setting allows you to enable gamma correction antialiasing to improve the image quality in OpenGL programs. This setting is no use to us in Valorant hence should be turned Off.

Mode – Antialiasing: Off

This controls how exactly Anti-Aliasing will be applied in your games. Better turn it off as well.

Background Max Frame Rate: 20

This is one of the newest features added to the Nvidia Control Panel. If you Alt+Tab out of the game a lot, this setting reduces the power consumption to the game and prioritizes other applications. Putting it as low as 20 is the best choice here.

Low Latency Mode: Ultra

Low Latency Mode is a great feature that Nvidia offers natively. It helps reduce input lag significantly and also boosts FPS. It’s especially great in competitive multiplayer games. Hence, will work wonders in Valorant.

Max Frame Rate: Off

Turn this setting Off to avoid capping your FPS in Valorant.

Power Management Mode: Prefer Max Performance

This setting allows your GPU to go full throttle on the game and produce maximum performance.

Monitor Technology: Depends on Monitor

Select your monitor technology here. However, it depends if your monitor offers the technologies like Nvidia Gysnc or AMD Freesync.

Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA): Off

This is Nvidia’s proprietary Anti-Aliasing technology. It doesn’t work the best with Valorant right now so best turn it Off. 

Anisotropic Sample Optimization -Texture Filtering: On

This setting enhances image quality with minimal effect on performance. It’s great for increasing image quality in Valorant.

Negative LOD Bias – Texture Filtering: Allow

This setting helps sharpen the visuals in Valorant. It’s best to turn set to Allow.

Quality – Texture Filtering: High Performance

It’s a crucial setting to get high FPS in Valorant. Better turn it to high performance to favor high FPS over graphic effects.

Trilinear Optimization – Texture Filtering: On

This improves texture filtering in Valorant. It helps make textures sharp and enemies easier to spot. 

Threaded Optimization: Auto

This setting allows Valorant to take advantage of multiple CPUs and cores. Helps smoother the performance but can also degrade it. Best left to Auto.

AMD Radeon Settings For Valorant


Before we jump into the best AMD Crimson Settings for Valorant, make sure you have the latest AMD Radeon Graphic Drivers Installed. You can update the latest drivers by visiting the AMD Website and Downloading the Auto-Detect and Installing Radeon Graphics Drivers for Windows.

Once Your latest drivers are installed. Just go ahead and follow the steps below to get high FPS and Ultimate Performance in Valorant.

  1. Open AMD Control Panel, head over to Gaming, then Games, and lastly select the Global Graphics.
  2. Afterward, you will see numerous Graphic Profiles that have different settings.
  3. For High FPS and Ultimate Performance, we need to select eSports because it’ll significantly improve performance and lower visuals.
Under the eSports Graphics Tab, change your settings to the following best Valorant Settings for AMD Control Panel.

Radeon Anti-Lag: Enabled

This dynamically adjusts the frame timing resulting in better performance and low input delay. This is especially great in valorant to help you nail those shots at pinpoint accuracy. 


Radeon Chill: Disabled

This would be an otherwise good feature, but not for Valorant. If significantly reduces FPS in the game to keep the temperatures cool which isn’t optimal. Best disable it for improved performance. 

Radeon Boost: Disabled

This feature might sound like it boosts performance, and yes it does, but there’s a catch. It also dynamically lowers your resolution in favor of performance which will just turn Valorant into a mushy mess. Better disable it now before you regret it later. 

Radeon Image Sharpening: Enabled

This feature is similar to Nvidia’s sharpening filter. Best turn it on since it helps in making textures much sharper in Valorant. 

Sharpness: Personal Preference

This helps you adjust the level of sharpening Radeon Image Sharpening applies to Valorant. You can set it to 50 in the beginning and increase or lower it according to your taste. 

Wait for Vertical Refresh – Always off

Drastically lowers or even locks your FPS in some scenarios. It also increases input lag so better set this to Always Off” for best performance in Valorant. 

Now Click Advance and more settings will appear. Make sure you change these as well.


Now change these advanced settings according to the following:

Anti-Aliasing: Use Application Settings

We don’t want to add any forced Anti-Aliasing from the control panel, so best let the application control the AA. 

Anti-Aliasing Method: Multisampling

Multisample is the best Anti-Aliasing method to enforce through the driver panel. It helps remove jagged edges from textures and makes them smoother. 

Morphological Anti-Aliasing: Disabled

Morphological Anti-Aliasing can introduce a weird blue in Valorant when activated. It’s best to keep it disabled for the best performance and visual quality. 

Anisotropic Filtering: Disabled

We’ve already set the Anisotropic Filtering in the Valorant Graphics Settings so no need to enforce it in the AMD Control Panel.

Texture Filtering Quality: Performance

As the name suggests, setting it to performance will favor better FPS over high visual quality. The trade-off isn’t bad either so performance really is the best option here. 

Surface Format Optimization: Enabled

Surface Format Optimization helps to reduce memory usage in Valorant that leads to higher performance. Best to Enable this feature in the AMD Control Panel.

Tessellation Mode: Override application settings

This is the first part of disabling driver-controlled Tesselation from Valorant.

Maximum Tessellation Level: Off

By selecting Overriding Application Settings in the Tesselation Mode, you can now completely disable driver Tesselation level from Control Panel. It’ll boost your in-game performance a lot. 

OpenGL Triple Buffering: Disabled

This setting is unnecessary for Valorant as it causes frame delays and input lag. Disable it for best results in-game. 

Reset Shader Cache – Perform Reset

This isn’t a setting rather than a hidden feature from AMD. If you haven’t updated your graphics card in a while you can reset the shader cache from here and make things a bit lighter on your GPU. The alternative to this option is reinstalling GPU drivers. 

After you’re done with Advanced Settings, go to the Display Tab Right next to the graphics. Set all settings according to your preference. If you are a competitive player, and you want the highest FPS to make sure Radeon FreeSync and GPU Scaling mode is off.

All of these are some tweaks that can be done to improve FPS in Valorant. There are also some changes that can be done in Windows to improve FPS in games but I will not cover it here. Enjoy Gaming! Peace.
